| Who Should Attend: |
This conference offers opportunities for teachers, administrators, educational professionals, and those interested in social studies education to learn and share in the latest information and techniques available for teaching social studies using primary sources. Further, dialog about the current status of social studies education and its impact on preparing citizens will be featured. This conference is intended not only to offer ideas for instruction but to also address issues of marginalized social studies and humanities education resulting from the No Child Left Behind Act. |

Thirty Breakout Sessions: |
Covering a full spectrum of social studies disciplines and teaching issues. Sessions will offer a balance of K-12 classroom applications and address important issues. Conference keynote speakers and recognized authorities in South Dakota will be presenters. |

University Graduate Credit: |
Graduate credit will be offered through Black Hills State University. Those seeking University credit are required to attend a pre-conference workshop and all conference sessions. Course registration and outline of requirements will be handled at each of the half-day workshops |

Students, educators and citizens will be recognized for their activities, achievements and contributions in the social studies. |

There will be a variety of Vendors offering information about products and services available for the teaching of Social Studies. |
